Mobile-friendly code

Content population

There is no limit to the number of pages you can have on the website. We can populate the initial text and supporting documents for a set number of pages. There is no limit to the number of supporting documents we will add.

Design - briefing meeting

For bespoke and premium sites we arrange a meeting where we consider your objectives, target audience, sites you like and why you like them.

For pre-designed sites we mainly manage the process by email.

For a smoother browsing experience, we would recommend a header, footer and a maximum of 4 panels of content, as per this example.

Design - mockup - desktop

For bespoke and premium websites we will prepare a mockup of the desktop version of the home page, and make unlimited revisions until you're happy. For pre-designed sites, we will setup your chosen theme and customise with your colours, after which we will allow you to suggest tweaks to the colour.

For Premium sites we will prepare a mockup of how the site will look on mobile devices and make any tweaks you suggest. For bespoke and pre-designed sites, we will go straight ahead and build the mobile version, allowing you to suggest tweaks post-build.

Where possible we like to add subtle movement to elements such as the school logo.

Fixed menu

As you scroll down the page, a smaller version of the menu remains visible, fixed to the top of the screen.

Curriculum icons

We can design icons for up to 20 subjects which can either link through to individual pages or appear as a popup.

Alternatively, you can create your own curriculum gallery for free in our CMS.

Social wall

We can embed a standard Facebook or Twitter feed for FREE.

If you'd like something more fancy, our social walls can contain a combination of your latest tweets and CMS news items, displayed either in a panel on the home page or as a slide-out from the side of the screen.

Background video

We can add a video alongside your text or in a popup window FREE.

Alternatively, we can integrate your video into the design of the website, playing in the background of the home page. For an example see Belvedere Academy.

Animated statistics

Make a feature of your most impressive numbers by having up to 5 key statistics count up from zero or appear in an animated graph. For an example see Ravenstone School.

Animated House Points

A variant of animated statistics, we can bring your weekly house points total to life with animated counters.

Photo editing, cut-outs or collages

In our Premium package we allow for 'cutting out' up to 6 images from their background; these can also be combined into a collage like in this example.

Custom inside page style sheets

By default we will ensure that your 'inside' pages reflect the home page styling for a consistent user experience. If desired we can also create specific styling for pages within one of the menu tabs. For example, pages within a 'Sixth Form' section might need a different logo and colours.

Designed inside feature pages

Sometimes there will be a page that requires extra-special love and attention. We will discuss design options with you and code up a compelling user experience.

Mobile app

Our mobile app allows you to send out push notifications to all users (eg parents) or groups of users (eg a class). You have control over app content, which can be automatically updated when you make changes to the website. Visit our Mobile App page for more details.

Photography shoot

Our professional photographers can come to you with their state of the art equipment. A half-day shoot generates around 100-150 photos. A full-day shoot is typically 150-200+ photos. More details on our photography page. Cost savings are available if a shoot is combined with a video or virtual tour.

Video shoot

If in-person visits are not possible, a virtual tour is the next best option - sometimes better as you have control of what your guests can and cannot see!
